Full-Stack Marketing Engineer

This is a part-time, contract position. For interested candidates, there is the opportunity to convert to a full-time, salaried role.

Who we’re looking for

A true marketing engineer. A full-stack developer with an understanding of marketing clients and goals. Our ideal candidate can work with our designers, animators, and marketers to build award-winning sites that are not only beautiful, but functional. Sites that improve performance and meet our clients’ marketing goals and KPIs.

This isn’t just a technical role. It’s a creative problem-solving role. It’s a technical writing position. It’s a client-facing position.

Job responsibilities

  • Work as part of a creative team blending design, animation, content, and code to build award winning, responsive sites
  • Build websites on a variety of platforms including WordPress (including some headless), Webflow, and various frameworks (Bootstrap, React, etc.)
  • Build out content on marketing platforms, primarily HubSpot
  • Technical consultation: how can we use our tools to better meet our clients’ goals?
  • Structure HTML with SEO fundamentals in mind (good semantics, type hierarchy, metadata, alt attributes, etc.)
  • Collaborate with our Marketing Automation Manager to ensure solid data reporting
  • Collaborate with remote teammates and clients

Skill requirements

  • Solid understanding of responsive web development
  • Strong HTML/CSS skills
  • Strong Javascript skills
  • Experience with WordPress development (both headless and regular)
  • Familiarity with the HubSpot platform including the HubL templating engine, HubSpot forms, and APIs
  • Familiarity with Adobe apps
  • Strong communication skills — online/written and verbal
  • Your own computer and software
  • Programming degree, certificate, or equivalent experience
  • At least two years experience
  • Examples of your work (portfolio site, GitHub, CodePen, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with creatives
  • Experience with web animations (Lottie, ChartJS, and custom built)

Also, if you bring extra skills to the team, that’s always a plus. Wether you've published mobile apps or built your own CMS, or even make your own jewelry, let us know! This job is remote but if you're in Austin, TX, let us know that too. It's always nice to grab a beer or a cup of coffee with the people you work with.

Ready to apply?

If you are an individual in the U.S. or Canada, we’d love to hear from you.

Candidates must be in the U.S., Mexico, or Canada. No agencies. Seriously. You’ll just waste your time and ours. We won’t look at your work. We won’t read your cover letter. Why? Because we need candidates who are available during US business hours and because we hire our full-time team members from our pool of contractors. Please don’t waste your time and ours.
